Process
Cold open
You might say: start in the action, teaser, no intro
Starting with a strong moment from inside the story, before any setup, logo or greeting. MrBeast’s guide says the first minute loses the most viewers, so plan it hardest.
- What it does
- Gives the viewer the reason to stay before you ask them for attention.
- Ask
- What is the most interesting moment, and can it come first?
- Trouble
- The video opens with “Hey guys, welcome back”, a logo or the backstory.
What to look for
- No logo or greeting before the moment
- The story already in action at the opening

Stop telling people what they will be watching and start showing them.
